This bridal series wouldn’t be complete without a DIY project. Most brides wear some form of jewellery, so I figured that earrings would be the easiest piece of jewellery to make. I started making earrings last year and I was surprised at how simple and quick they are to make. I can make a new pair of earrings in less than 5 minutes, so it’s a great way to squeeze some creativity into a busy schedule. They also make great gifts for bridesmaids – just change the colour scheme of the beads and you’ll have a brand new earring.
If you’re new to making jewellery, I would suggest taking a trip to Hobby Craft and buying a small tub of beads to experiment with (they only cost £3.50 and there’s a big selection to choose from). The creative possibilities are endless and you can choose to use Swarovski crystals or precious stones if you wish.
I hope you enjoy this tutorial and I hope it inspires brides-to-be to get creative with their wedding style. As usual, all the shopping links are below.
