I was hired by the lovely Oyin to do her makeup and photography for her new business which is called: My Wardrobe Concierge. I’m honoured that she trusted me to create the images used on her website and social media channels. Oyin is a professionally trained personal stylist who is also a chartered accountant! Plus, she’s so beautiful! WOW!! I love to see people developing their talents and building bespoke careers.
Oyin completely slayed her photoshoot, and as you can see from her photos she’s a natural in front of the camera. So if you’re looking for a personal stylist, a wardrobe detox or a personal shopper then don’t hesitate to contact Oyin. Check out her website (https://mywardrobeconcierge.com) and follow her on social media (Instagram and Facebook).
Let me talk you through the products I used to create her very natural makeup look:
Oyin has really good skin, so I had a great canvas to work with. I started by prepping her combination skin with the Makeup Forever HD Step 1 Mattifying Primer and I also used the Becca Ever-matte Poreless Priming Perfector on her T zone area for added shine control. I buffed MAC Studio Fix foundation in NW 47 all over her face and used MAC Studio Fix concealer in NW40 to highlight under her eyes and the bridge of her nose. I set those highlighted areas with the Sacha Buttercup Setting Powder, and then for the rest of her face I used MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Dark Deep.
For her brows I softly filled them in using Benefit’s Brow Pencil in number 5. Since she wanted a very natural makeup look, I kept the eyeshadow colours very soft. I used the shade ‘Lulu’ from the Juvia’s Place Saharan Palette all over her eyelid and softly smoked out her outer eyelid using a dark brown colour from the Juvia’s Place Nubian Eyeshadow Palette. I lined her eyes with the Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gel in number 77, and used mascara to define her lashes. I skipped applying false lashes since she wanted a natural look.
I used an Inglot matte eyeshadow in number 235 to gently contour her face, and then highlighted the high points of her face with MAC’s Gold Deposit. I then warmed up her cheeks with a MAC Blush called Raizin – this blush is one that I often reach for when working with darker skin tones because it works with just about any makeup look.
For her lips I first lined them with a MAC Lip pencil in the shade ‘Cork’, and then filled in her lips using an NYX Slide On Lip Pencil in the shade ‘Nude Suede Shoes’. Finally, I applied a MAC lipstick called ‘Touch’ all over her lips for a nice nude finish. And that’s it! The end result was a very natural makeup look that really allowed Oyin’s beauty to shine through. I’m so excited to watch her business grow and glad that I could be part of the process.
Enjoy the rest of Oyin’s pictures and as usual:
