  • LADY IN RED

    Red dress 1

Ever wondered what sort of make up to wear with a red dress? I certainly did when I decided to wear a red dress to a recent wedding (cue the song ‘Lady in Red’ by Chris De Burgh, LOL!). Red is such a rich colour so it’s important to wear make up that won’t clash with it. I decided to do a classic black smokey eye with 2 lipstick options – pink and red. If you are ever in doubt of what eyeshadow colours to use when wearing a bold outfit, a black smoky eye will usually work; and just like a black dress that goes with anything, you can pair any lip colour with a black smokey eye. So here is option 1 with a pink lipstick:

    Red dress 2

..and here is option 2: I used MAC Ruby Woo Lipstick with Nightmoth lip pencil for an ombré look.

Hi Emaese, think you look stunning in both, I prefer the 2nd look especially if it’s an evening outing. Pretty bold for me, but might just try it
